When the snow melts in the mountains, the greenery that unfolds is a thing of beauty. The previous winter had seen exceptionally heavy snowfall and the green of the mountains was especially vibrant. “you look absolutely stunning honey and I am so proud of you. I will see you out there,” her mother said. She calmed her nerves and waited for the music to start. When it did, she took a deep breath and opened the door. She was greeted by a large group of people, and the beaming face of her father. As they linked arms, he whispered in her ear, ” it wasn’t that long ago that you were a two year old sitting on my lap riding up the lift for the first time. What an exceptional young woman you have become.” As they slowly walked down the aisle, She smiled and focused her attention on the man waiting at the other end. They had met in college and quickly realized they had much in common – high moral values, a drive to succeed, a strong code of conduct and ethics, a love of the mountains, and most important, a never ending love of family

When she and her dad reached the front, he smiled and kissed her on the cheek. She watched him sit down next to her mother, her brother and his wife, and her grand parents to their right. She then returned her gaze to her husband to be, and with the mountains as the backdrop, calmed her nerves – comforted by the fact that everything that mattered to her was right there.
